State officials came together Tuesday to talk about curbing gun violence.

A conference of mayors task force, which includes Bridgeport and Waterbury, outlined 10 ways to help reduce gun violence by repeat offenders.

Among them includes updating the definition of serious firearm offense, strengthening consequences and posting a higher percentage of a given bond when necessary.

Gov. Ned Lamont backed the proposals.
