Gov. Ned Lamont and acting Public Health Commissioner Deidre Gifford are expressing concerns over COVID-19 outbreaks in the state.
They say the outbreaks are mostly among the unvaccinated population.
A news release issued Thursday also noted that the outbreaks involved situations where mask use was "not consistent" and where indoor activities resulted "in close contact with unvaccinated individuals."
On Thursday, the state reported an additional 626 cases and a positivity rate of 2.93%.
