State police: Danbury man drove the wrong way on I-84, struck police cruiser

Police say Ney Carrasco-Guerrero was driving in the left lane when his driver's side mirror collided with the driver's side mirror of a state police cruiser that was also driving in the left lane.

A Danbury man driving the wrong way on I-84 struck a state police cruiser early this morning.
State police say around 1:30 a.m. they received a report of a vehicle driving the wrong way near Exit 8 in Danbury.
Police say Ney Carrasco-Guerrero was driving in the left lane when his driver's side mirror collided with the driver's side mirror of a state police cruiser that was also driving in the left lane.
No one was injured.
Police say Carrasco-Guerrero did not stop and continued to drive the wrong way on the highway. He was stopped on Mile Hill Road off of Exit 11 in Newtown and arrested.
His charges include driving the wrong way on a divided highway, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and interfering with an officer.
Carrasco-Guerrero is expected to appear in court on Monday.
