State Sen. Ryan Fazio announced Wednesday he is officially running for governor.
A week after launching an
exploratory campaign, the Greenwich Republican posted a video and message on social media.
"I know our state deserves better than sky-high electricity bills and taxes, and jobs leaving our state. With a positive change, the best days can be ahead of us. Together, let's change Hartford, save Connecticut, and create a brighter future for all," he said.
Fazio is the second Republican to declare his candidacy, along with Westport First Selectwoman
Jen Tooker. New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart has filed an exploratory committee.
Last month, state Rep. Josh Elliot filed paperwork to challenge Gov. Ned Lamont.
