After fighting for years to build a store on his 41-acre property in Orange, Stew Leonard Jr. announced he?s selling the land.
The dairy mogul says he?s selling the Marsh Hill Road property to explore other options since he no longer plans on opening anything in the state. However, he says it wasn?t his idea to sell.
?My sisters are the ones that want to sell the property and you know we're a family business,? Leonard says. ?I got to listen to my sisters.?
Leonard got approval from the Town Planning and Zoning Commission, but a state Supreme Court ruling stepped in and blocked the development of a store.
