Stew Leonard?s is back in court Friday in its ongoing battle to build a store in Orange. Stew Leonard?s wants to build a new store on Marsh Hill Road, off I-95. Opponents of the proposed store testified in the State Superior Courthouse on Elizabeth Street in Derby. They say building a store in Orange would create too much traffic. Stew Leonard?s countered, saying that the bulk of the traffic would be coming off the interstate and not from local roads. Stew Leonard?s believes this particular case should be dismissed because the plaintiffs do not live close enough to the proposed store location.
