The three Minnesota kids who won the Newman's Own Super Bowl Super Snack Challenge visited Westport Friday to see the company's test kitchen in person.
They won $60,000 on behalf of charities for their prize-winning, healthy tailgating snacks. They created healthy treats and got to dish them out outside the Super Bowl in Minneapolis.
The contest drew 400 entries. The pool narrowed down to 52 and then 10 before the top three were chosen.
The chief executive of Newman's Own says he is working on tasting all 52 semifinalist's recipes.
As for the kids, they have big culinary goals for the future.
"I want to have my own restaurant," says Maimah Muhammad, one of the winners. "I want to go on 'Chopped' and 'Master Chef.'"
