A Bridgeport man was arrested during a court appearance weeks after police say he broke into a Shelton apartment and threatened a woman with a gun - while her two children were inside.
Owen Mason, 31, was arrested and is facing charges of home invasion, criminal possession of a firearm, strangulation in the 2nd degree and risk of injury to a child.
Police say on Nov. 14, Mason choked a 31-year-old woman inside of a Howe Avenue apartment after an argument.
Police responded to the home after the woman called 911, but say Mason fled.
Later that day, police say Mason broke into the home and pulled out a gun before threating to kill the woman while her 4-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son were inside.
Mason fled the home again and was arrested at Derby Superior court Tuesday where he was appearing on unrelated charges.
He is being held on a $275,000 bond.
