A national food website has named four local eateries among the best in the country.

Among those is Danny's Drive-In on Ferry Boulevard in Stratford. The small food stop near the Milford-Stratford border came in at No. 13 on the Daily Meal's 75 best hole-in-the-wall joints in the United States.

Danny's has been serving up burgers, hot dogs and more since 1935. Their best seller is the Wild Bill Burger, which is a cheeseburger with an onion ring and bacon.

Other eateries making the list include Dottie's Diner in Woodbury, Louis' Lunch in New Haven and Ted's in Meriden.
