Ronkonkoma man hit, killed by beer delivery truck in Nesconset

Detectives are looking for more information after a man was hit and killed by a beer delivery truck in Nesconset.

According to police, the driver of the truck was backing into the Handy Pantry parking lot on Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset Tuesday morning.

That’s when 68-year-old Albert Geerders, of Ronkonkoma, was hit. He died at the scene.

At this point, no criminal charges have been filed.
