A young adult and a minor from Bridgeport are facing charges Wednesday in connection with an overnight robbery spree.

Police say it all started when 20-year-old Carlos Asad and a minor stole an SUV in Bridgeport and then robbed a woman at gunpoint in her car at Walgreens in Fairfield. Police say the two got away with the woman's car keys and cellphone.

Police say Asad and the minor then robbed a deli on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, and tried to rob a McDonald's on State Street.

An undercover officer spotted the suspects, and they took off in the SUV. That's when police say a pursuit began. The pursuit ended at the PT Barnum Housing Complex.

Police say the suspects ran away, but were eventually taken into custody.

Asad is charged with engaging police in pursuit among other charges. He's being held on $25,000 bond.

The minor was issued a juvenile summons.
