A Long Beach teen was arraigned on grand jury charges Monday in connection to last month’s fatal stabbing in Oceanside.
Haakim Mechan pleaded not guilty to gang assault and assault charges. The 19-year-old is among eight teenagers charged in the wake of the stabbing death of Khaseen Morris.
Tyler Flach is accused of murdering the 16-year-old. Prosecutors say Flach attacked the victim during a fight over a girl in September.
Flach has denied the allegations and is due back in court on Halloween.
