Homemade gifts for the holidays, with love

Posted: Updated:

A yearly event for a Connecticut senior center has made for great gift-giving ideas.

The Newtown Senior Center has held its annual bazaar in the beginning of November for the past few years.

The event features holiday crafts of all kinds, such as ornament-making, quilting and other knitted items.

Months of work go into the event with a great turnout.

"We really appreciate the support that we get from the community," said Judi Boyle, of the Newtown Senior Center. "This is a great place for people to come, not only to do crafts, but to relax and socialize with one another."
