5G technology, smart homes, health tech emerge at annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas

The biggest expo for new technology just got underway in Las Vegas.

News 12's Andrew Ehinger is at The Consumer Electronics Show where they are seeing some trends emerging with 5G technology, smart homes, and health and fitness tech.
However, some of the biggest and flashiest tech around are televisions.
Samsung showed off 8K HD televisions, plus a massive television called "The Wall."
Other companies like TCL showed of its 8K TVs as well, so be prepared to see a lot of those soon.
CES also is the launching pad for some future tech ideas. Korean car maker Hyundai is taking a big leap into the air with Uber. Hyundai took the wraps off its concept for a flying taxi that is part of the Uber Elevate initiative. The all electric vertical take-off air vehicle seats four and will have a pilot, but eventually could become autonomous.
Meanwhile Sony, best known for its televisions and cameras, rolled out a potentially self-driving concept car. The car, which doesn't even have a name yet, is all electric and isn't expected to go on sale. It's a "vehicle" for Sony's Vision-S initiative and showing off its high-tech driving sensors.
