Police confirm victim’s identity in Bridgeport’s first homicide of 2020

Bridgeport police say the victim in the city's first homicide of the year was 38-year-old Abdul Lemon.

Bridgeport police say the victim in the city's first homicide of the year was 38-year-old Abdul Lemon.
Police say their ShotSpotter detection system picked up gunfire on Remington Street around 1:30 a.m.
They say when officers arrived they found Lemon, who lived on the street, suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital and later died.
Police say they are still working on a possible motive for the killing.
