Church service held in Baldwin to honor MLK

A special church service was held in Baldwin for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The 35th Annual Ecumenical Service was held Sunday night at the Second Baptist Church and recognized multiple sects of Christianity.
People of all different groups, backgrounds and ages filled the church in honor of the Dr. King.
"Dr. Martin Luther King was a Baptist preacher. He was a man of real faith and I think it's that that shines through in the legacy of his work," said Nassau County Executive Laura Curren.
Nassau County's celebration of the holiday continues Monday with a Scholarship Awards Luncheon at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale.
