Montclair natives to be inducted into National Inventors Hall of Fame for inventing sports bra

Two women from Montclair are going to be inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame for inventing the sports bra.

Lisa Lindahl and Polly Smith came up with the idea in 1977.

Their prototype was two jock-straps sewn together.

Lindahl and Smith are set to be inducted in May.
