A Stratford man faces charges for threatening graffiti police say he left in Milford.
Miguel Silva, 31, of Stratford, went before a judge Friday. Police say he left threatening messages on several Milford homes and businesses.
The graffiti was found on several businesses and one apartment building on Water Street, with messages that referenced ISIS and threatened to kill Milford and Stratford police.
Milford police say surveillance photo shows Silva with the marker used to leave those messages.
Due to the seriousness of those threats, the judge raised Silva's bond to $250,000.

Police say nothing so far that suggests Silva has ties to Islamic State militants or other terrorist groups.
"It's a combination of the recent events in the area brought out some personal anger, according to him, some heavy drug use, and then being fired, so it was a combination of all the above that led him to do what he said was a quote-unquote ‘stupid act.’ He claims he has no ties to ISIS, but we're not stopping there, satisfied there," says Milford Police Officer Mike DeVito.
If Silva can make the bond, the court also ordered him to stay away from those defaced buildings and the two police departments.
Silva is due back in court on Feb. 7.
