One local senior living facility is using technology to help its residents stay connected.
Maplewood Senior Living, of Newtown, has not reported any cases of COVID-19, but says it is doing everything it can to protect one of the most vulnerable populations.
The company says it is using technology to livestream entertainers and educators. It is also livestreaming virtual tours of museums, and ultimately connecting seniors to loved ones through computers.

"For us, it's just enhancing what we typically do on an everyday basis to ensure that our residents are not feeling anxious and are continuing to be engaged and connected with their families," says Gina Saunders, of Maplewood Senior Living.
Since visitors are restricted from the living center, the company says residents have been spending a lot of time writing letters and cards as well.
Maplewood Senior Living isn't a nursing home and is not associated with any of the nursing homes the governor says are being affected by coronavirus.
