New Edison coffee shop holds virtual grand opening, will offer delivery
The owners of an Edison coffee shop were not going to let the coronavirus pandemic stop them from celebrating the opening of their new business – so they held the grand opening virtually.
“Obviously it’s not the most ideal time to open up any business,” says CLO Coffee Co. co-owner Ralph Angeles.
The owners say that opening a new business always comes with challenges and that the pandemic just added another.
“It’s the perfect storm,” Angeles says.

The grand opening was held live on Instagram, with a chance to win some prizes. Angeles says that the focus will now be on social media marketing and other changes to keep the shop afloat.
“Based on what we’ve seen the last two weeks, I think home delivery is the thing to kind of have to introduce to our customers,” he says.
Angeles says that the shop has no plan to close and will continue to serve the community.
