A Stratford home decor business debuted products Saturday to help people with special needs.
The Mellow Monkey began selling handmade soaps, greeting cards and more made by the Fairfield nonprofit "Yes We Can."
The organization employs developmentally disabled adults, who make the merchandise.
Those involved with the project say it helps build character.
"This is such a good program because everyone should work hard for the money," said Ryan Lens of Stratford.
The Mellow Monkey sells everything from lighting to unique crafts.
