Concerning data from a new study shows Connecticut is among the states with the highest percentage of drunk drivers involved in deadly crashes.
The study used data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) from 2017 to 2021.
A Louisiana law firm looked at five years of data and said nearly 41% of the drivers involved in fatal crashes within the study period were over the legal limit.
The research notes that Connecticut had the "highest rate of drivers in fatal crashes" at nearly twice the legal limit.
