News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says Connecticut will see a sunny and breezy Memorial Day.
WHAT'S NEW: Dry conditions prevail. The low remains to the south and clouds are barely spreading up far north. High pressure to the north will keep the local weather dry for now.
WHAT'S NEXT: Minimal rain chances through the rest of the week. Best chance of rain could be Saturday now as a cold front sinks southward through the northeast. Before that point, temperatures are up near 90 degrees on Friday.
FORECAST
OVERNIGHT: Mainly clear. Winds are light with temperatures in the 50s after midnight. A few high clouds, otherwise mostly clear.
MONDAY- MEMORIAL DAY: Sunny, dry and cooler temperatures at the beach. Breezy with winds out of the East. Shore points feeling cooler with highs in the 60s. Inland areas, up near 80 degrees again.
TUESDAY: Sun and more clouds mix with closer to normal highs, 70 degrees. Lows near 50.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Highs near 78. Lows near 58.
