The city issued a heat advisory for Sunday as they warn that the heat index could reach up to 104 degrees.
These temperatures could be dangerous, especially for people without air conditioning, older adults and people with chronic health conditions.  The city recommends avoiding strenuous outdoor activities, especially for those with lung disease and asthma.
News 12’s Shakti Denis was at Domino Park in Williamsburg where people were hoping to escape the punishing heat.
