? A cleanup is underway in Orange and the driver of a tanker is in the hospital after his vehicle overturned spilling oil Saturday.
Witnesses told Orange police they heard the driver honk his horn several times before swerving and overturning at Grassy Hill Road and Route 34. Orange police say diesel and home heating oil spilled at the intersection and into the nearby Housatonic River. Authorities are using sand and barriers to keep it from spreading. There?s no official word on how much oil spilled. Several homes and businesses were evacuated.
Bystanders rushed to help the driver, who police say was not seriously injured. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
