Connecticut officials say taxpayers could lose up to half a billion dollars a year if the Revolution Wind project is not allowed to finish.
The state's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says the loss would come from higher energy market costs if other power sources were needed. About a quarter of those costs would fall in Connecticut, with the rest spread across other New England states.
The Trump administration ordered work on the offshore wind project to stop last month, despite it being nearly 80% complete.
