The University of Bridgeport Men's Basketball team is the News 12 Connecticut Team of the Week sponsored by the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Despite losing some key pieces due to injuries, the Purple Knights sit at a 7-7 record.

This Tuesday, Krunch Senadhi's team erased a 10-point second half deficit to beat the College of Staten Island.

"It's been an up-and-down season. We've had two major injuries to kids who are gone for the season, but we're 7-7 right now and I think we're in a good spot and we're halfway through the year with 28 games and I think we're in a really good spot mentally, but we're also here for each other and I think that's been a big part of our team chemistry," Senadhi says.

UB returns to the floor this Saturday at home.
