An 18-year-old man died after being stabbed multiple times in Bridgeport, police say.

The incident happened Monday in the 1100 block of Park Avenue around 7:45 p.m.

Police say the 18-year-old, identified as Trevon Pierce of Bridgeport, was found suffering from multiple stab wounds to the torso and was brought to the hospital where he later died.

Detectives believe the stabbing is an isolated incident where Pierce likely knew his attacker or attackers.

Police continue to search for the suspect or suspects and the motive behind the stabbing.
