The shelves of a local food pantry are filled to the brim Tuesday just days after they struggled to feed those in need.
Eight local temples came together to replenish the near-empty shelves of Person to Person Food Pantry. Leaders of the food drive say the food was collected in the 15th Annual High Holy Days Food Drive. The pantry says it couldn?t have come at a better time as their supplies have been limited after a busy summer season. Executive Director Ceci Maher says with the help of High Holy Days Food Drive, those less fortunate will have a meal to eat.
Maher says the large donation will enable them to distribute food to those in need for as much as six to eight weeks.
