The Greater Bridgeport St. Patrick's Day parade returns Friday for the first time since 2019 after the pandemic put it on pause.
This year, the parade is taking place on Saint Patrick's Day and it's returning with a new route.
Instead of taking place downtown, the parade will take place in Black Rock along Fairfield Avenue.
Events begin with an 8:30 a.m. mass at St. Augustine Cathedral at 359 Washington Ave.
There will be a flag raising ceremony at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall.
The parade kicks off at noon.
It starts at the Burroughs Community Center at 2470 Fairfield Ave. and ends at The Castle Black Rock at 3171 Fairfield Ave.
