New York is among 25 states seeing an uptick in coronavirus cases as vaccination rates drop to their lowest point since January. New Jersey is up 12% in the past two weeks.  (what is up? Cases?)
Currently, the U.S. is averaging 600,000 COVID-19 vaccinations each day, compared to an average of 1 million administered doses the week prior.
Health experts cite the highly infectious delta variant for a 16% jump in new cases in the past week. According to the CDC, 99.7% of current cases are among the unvaccinated.
