The summer is winding down, and so are hotel stays and hotel prices around the state.
Investopedia says vacancy rates are expected to rise in the state, especially in areas along the shore, so if you're looking for a last-minute deal the time is now.
And if you've already done all of your summer traveling, there are still some helpful ways to save money on your next trip.
Experts say sometimes the best way to get a deal on your stay, is to book directly through the hotel website.
Another good way to make sure you're getting the best deal is to book your lodging with hotels that offer "best price guarantees."
Phylis Blythe, of Blithe Travel, also says that many consumers may not be aware that "mystery deals" may be available to travel agents that normal consumers simply can't find online.
