And moving on. In Norwalk, there is a police presence outside homes and businesses on Eli Avenue. Tom Krasowski is there with more following all of this and doing a great job, Tom, let us know what's going on. Well, good evening, Roxanne within the last 10 minutes, police and fire have left Ely Avenue that they have just finished the job. The word from Norwalk police is that a retaining wall collapsed and residents at the bottom of the large embankment had to be evacuated. Now, let's take a look and show you what it looked like. Just a couple hours ago, police said they removed two large dump trucks along with the help of fire crews, animal control and the building department. We saw police going door to door to residents living at the bottom of the embankment who we then saw packing up to evacuate. Police just swung by again to make sure that all is safe there. Most police and fire again currently have left the scene. The road in the meantime, here on Ely Avenue in Lexington has just reopened. It's not flooded but obviously the rain causing severe enough damage to wipe out. That retaining wall is creating a large muddy embankment and a safety risk for anybody living at the bottom of it where there were large construction vehicles that had to be removed. Now, we'll be around the region all night following the storm. Please send us videos of what it's like by you. I can say right now over here, Angelica said it's touch and go where she is at in this particular part of Norwalk, It's coming down consistently for the last two hours. And Steve said it doesn't appear to be done any time soon yet. So we'll be around the area again. Please send us your videos. Let us know what it's like by you. Check on our roadways tonight news twelve's Tom Krasowski is out on with thunder bolt 12. Tom, you're in Bridgeport. How does it look out there? Hey there, Kurt. The rain has been coming down steady all night long. There's been no reprieve here in Bridgeport and now we'll take you inside thunderbolt, show you what's out here. So you don't have to be out on the roads. We'll show you what it's like right now. We are on North Bishop Avenue in Bridgeport. We're up ahead, the road is closed. Now, we're here specifically because Bridgeport, police told us they rescued people from several cars that were stuck in the water there, they had to go on board and take them out. There were no injuries. Now, the next block over to our right Bruce Avenue is also closed under the overpass. Those of course are danger zones. So keep in mind as always turn around, don't drown. Overpasses are particularly dangerous areas. The water continues to pile up. I know a little bit of a traffic jam here in Bridgeport, which is an encouraging sign if there's cars on the road, that means it's good to go. Typically speaking, at least now we'd be remiss if we were in Bridgeport and we didn't mention the impacts that the rain has had on sound on sound. The second annual Sound on Sound, the big music festival gates tomorrow delayed three hours due to all this rain gates will now open at 2 45. The first show is at three, parking opens at one and some of the set times have been adjusted. So for any fans of particular act, you're going to want to check that. And management also saying proper rain gear is key, especially footwear. We were there yesterday. It's a beautiful set up. Organizers said it's a big improvement over last year in a larger space, but it is still a grassy field. So make sure you bring your footwear, latest facts and figures from Steve tiling Sikorski Airport winds gusting up to 30 miles an hour total rainfall there over three inches of rain per Steve. That's nothing to sneeze at. And as for tomorrow, clouds in the morning showers ending by noon that is promising for the music festival. Meanwhile news twelve's Angelica Tao is in thunderbolt 12 checking on conditions in Norwalk, Angelica. Yeah, you know, it is a day very cloudy right now. Not so much rain, but throughout the day that we've been out on the roads, there has been, you know, that influx of rain coming in and out. Also those gusty winds, thunderbolt definitely felt it. We've been driving around trying to see what it looks like out like there out there and I'm going to show you right now we're in Norwalk right by. We were just at Vets Park, we saw a couple of ducks really enjoying this weather and uh enjoying that those little puddles. But over here, you know, there is that time of traffic, some cars on the road, but we just want you to be safe. So if you don't have to go outdoors right now, best to stay indoors, the flooding in certain areas are pretty bad and we'll be continuing to cover those and surveillance that but here we are at the stop sign light rain right now. But as I said, the rain does come and go and just check all those apps and alerts as we continue to update you guys and we will bring it back to you in the studio, but you can always check the news 12 app and online back to you.
