The town of Orange Volunteer Fire Department has been transformed into a haunted house for Halloween.
The haunted house tours will take place at 625 Orange Center Road 7-9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Turning the firehouse into a haunted house is something firefighter Rob Panapada came up with.
He says when he was a teenager, firefighters in Stamford did something similar.
Panapada says groups between five and 10 people will be allowed in.
The Orange Volunteer Fire Department and the town's Women's Auxiliary and Youth Services are all funding the spooks and scares.
The fire department is asking for a $5 donation upon entry.
Money raised will go toward next year's haunt.
Children 11 and up are welcome at the Haunted House, although children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Panapada says a volunteer will follow along groups with a flashlight in case anyone asks to leave.
