The Wilton Warriors' men's varsity soccer team dedicated its first home game to a former team member who died serving his country.
Nineteen-year-old Nick Madaras was killed earlier this month by a roadside bomb in Iraq. Several residents of the community came to shed tears and share the joyful memories of Madaras, who spent years playing, coaching, refereeing and managing the soccer team in Wilton.
Madaras' parents were presented with their son's number 14 jersey before the game. A scholarship fund has been created in his name.
