Tree falls onto coach bus, blocks all lanes of I-95 in Westport

A fallen tree struck a coach bus and blocked all travel lanes on Interstate 95 in Westport around 6:30 a.m. Monday.
Westport fire officials said they found a large tree spanning all lanes of traffic. The impact shattered one of the bus windows.
The bus was carrying a driver and 15 passengers at the time of the incident. Officials reported minor injuries, but all occupants declined transportation to the hospital.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation removed the tree from the roadway and worked to restore traffic flow. Westport EMS and the Connecticut State Police also responded to assist at the scene.
The cause of the tree fall was not immediately available. No serious injuries were reported.
