Tropical Storm Ernesto made its way through southwest Connecticut over the holiday weekend. Now crews have begun cleanup efforts that could take weeks.
Greenwich was one of the hardest hit areas in Connecticut. Winds as high as 50 miles per hour knocked down trees and power lines, leaving streets covered with debris. Arborist John Ockasi says that because of the large number of trees that fell in southwest Connecticut alone, tree companies will be very busy for the next several weeks cleaning Ernesto?s aftermath.
For safety reasons, Greenwich police have asked parents to drive their children to school Tuesday instead of letting them walk.
