The Trumbull community is rallying behind a local business that lost its food truck in a devastating accident earlier this month.
“It’s been really hard,” says Jonathan Gibbons, owner of Fryborg.
Due to an oversight, insurance will only cover about 60% of the $80,000 in damages, according to Gibbons.
A GoFundMe has raised more than $10,000 toward the $36,000 goal as of Tuesday afternoon.
Gibbons says the outpouring of support from the community and local businesses has been heartwarming.
A few staff members suffered minor injuries when the food truck crashed on Aug. 17th, but those employees are said to be on the mend.
