Plasko's Farm in Trumbull went over 48 hours with no power.
Empty buckets, which were previously filled with ice cream, sat empty in a vacant and dark kitchen.
The farm is in the middle of peak ice cream season but was forced to stay closed on Monday. Plasko's Farm had to dump out most of its inventory after Saturday's storm knocked out its power.
"We're going to hope that we save what we saved so far but it's only, we've only saved about a quarter of what we have in stock." said owner John Plasko.
Customers were seen arriving at the creamery to check if they were, by a miracle, open. To everyone's disappointment, Plasko repeatedly was forced to turn them away.
Plasko's family has owned the farm for over 100 years.
"My grandfather, my father, they never spoke of ever experiencing something like this, " Plasko recalled, "We've never had a storm and we've had hurricanes, and we've had Nor' Easterns and all that but not where its taken out power for this length of time."
Although the damage has been done and power has been restored, Plasko said it will still take a few days to get back on track.
