A job fair in Trumbull is helping people get back to work.

The Moving Forward Regional Hiring event was held at the Trumbull Marriott Shelton Monday.

A total of 50 employers from different industries connected with job seekers. 

Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce President Bill Purcell says the point of the event was to bring employers that are seeking qualified talent with those interested in making a career change or coming back to work.

There were also workshops and resume building opportunities at the event.

The event also featured resources to help people find solutions to employment barriers like childcare, transportation and housing.
