Tweed New Haven Airport has revealed renderings of the new east terminal it hopes to build, marking a major step forward in its expansion plans.
The airport says the new terminal will offer a modern and sustainable travel experience, with improved passenger flow, local design features, and environmental measures that include flood protection and habitat preservation.
The airport says it has now reached a 60% design milestone for the proposed 84,000-square-foot terminal.
This design phase finalized major elements like layout and systems planning, giving the project a more concrete vision while still allowing room for minor changes based on community and regulatory feedback.
The terminal is expected to meet projected travel demand through 2040.
