At Bessou in Manhattan, the food is described as a modern take on Japanese comfort food. On Valentine's Day, a curated tasting menu will be served for $65 per person.
Bessou's owner Maiko Kyogoku said, "The idea behind the restaurant is to provide a place for people to find an escape from the everyday."
At Fish Cheeks in Manhattan, the food is traditional Thai cuisine with an emphasis on seafood. For Valentine's Day, guests can choose from chef-curated menus at $105 for two, or order a la carte.
Fish Cheeks's owner Jennifer Saesue said, "Thai food is not the prettiest food; it's a little more like getting down and dirty, you kind of have to dig in a bit, but I think Thai food has so much flavor."
Whichever cuisine suits your Valentine's Day date, be sure to make reservations soon, because time is running out.
