Two entrepreneurs are sharing their love of footwear with the local community.

Kicksmith Studio on West Avenue offers classes and private events where professionals help guide artists on a journey to designing their own custom pair of sneakers.

“It's a place where you can unleash your creativity," says owner Matt Smith. “Nationally, there’s nothing like this. There are some similar things on the West Coast, but not to the extent that we’re doing it."

The studio welcomes artists of all ages, and encourages people to bring in all types of footwear, not just sneakers.

“We have the paints, we have the materials," general manager Gregg Smith says. "To watch people walkout happy is everything."
