A new version of a controversial vaccination bill has been released.
Hundreds protested the bill last month. It ends the so-called "religious exemption" for vaccines in schools.
Under an earlier version, students could stay if they already claim the exemption.
It now only applies to kids in grades 7-12.
"There was less of an issue with vaccination rates in the middle and high school, and that the emerging trend of below compliance levels in schools was taking place at the elementary school level," said state Rep. Jonathan Steinberg.
