Two Sikorsky-made Blackhawk helicopters crashed during a training operation at Fort Campbell in Kentucky, U.S. Army officials say. Nine people were killed.
U.S. Army officials at Fort Campbell confirmed the crash happened at 10 p.m. Wednesday in Trigg County and involved two 101st Airborne Division helicopters.
Stratford-based Sikorsky is the manufacturer of the HH60 Blackhawk.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) wrote in a Tweet that fatalities are expected in the crash.
