A group of volunteers cleaned out storm drains in Bridgeport Saturday to prevent flooding when Henri hits.
Team Up & Clean Up targeted the West End, with organizers telling News 12 they adapted their pre-planned event to the weather emergency.
They say normally they would be doing a general cleanup, but Saturday's effort was focused primarily on getting as many storm drains cleaned as possible.
They say the free flow of water in the city's drainage system makes a huge difference in preventing flooding
The group says it plans to continue targeting different parts of the city through the end of summer and fall.
