The West Nile virus was discovered at two popular Bridgeport attractions, city officials say.

Officials say the infected mosquitoes were found at the Beardsley Zoo and on Barnum Boulevard at Seaside Park.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggest people wear loose-fitting, long-sleeved clothing to protect themselves from the virus.

Other tips include using insect repellent, repairing any holes in screens and getting rid of standing water so mosquitoes are unable to lay eggs.
