A group of seniors at Westhill High School were honored Monday for their multiculturalism.
A ceremony was held to recognize 103 students who earned the Seal of Biliteracy.
It's a special seal from the state that is placed on a diploma to signify that a student speaks another language other than English. To receive the seal, a student must pass four years of English and take a test, which can include an AP Language exam.
Students also receive a medal that they will wear at graduation.
The group of Westhill students speak 13 languages. However, school officials say more languages than that are spoken by students at the school.
Across all of Stamford's high schools, a total of 223 seniors earned the seal this year.
