A Westport family is using alternative means to find its lost dog, leaning toward social media websites to alert the community. Jordina and Mike Ghiggeri say they were celebrating New Year's Eve with friends on Guard Hill Road when fireworks scared off their 11-year-old corgi, Andy. They have posted missing dog flyers around the neighborhood, and are now bringing their search to Facebook. "He's just everybody's best friend." says Jordina. "He's just the smartest, easiest, best dog." They say Andy was not wearing a collar, but does have an embedded microchip that provides information on his identity.
