The Westport Farmers Market reopened Thursday with a few added precautions to keep patrons safe.
Only 100 visitors are allowed in the vicinity at a time and all must wear masks.
Since March, Lori Cochran, the executive director of the farmers market, got creative and accepted preorders and pickup options so neighbors could still shop local and vendors could stay in business.
Kristin Burrello, owner of Muddy Feet Flower Farm, says it's good to be back where she used to spend her Thursdays for the last eight years.
A large percentage of her business is wedding and events, so like so many other small businesses, Burrello took a huge hit these past few months. She says Cochran's preorder model of keeping the farmers market going with pickup options kept her business afloat.
For anyone who does not want to go inside, the preorder option will be open every Thursday starting at 9:30 a.m.
